What is Paynest?
Paynest is a stablecoin payroll platform that lets onchain businesses, DAOs, and remote teams schedule and stream salary payments in USDC — automatically, on time, and with full transparency. Each team or contributor gets a unique Paynest username to receive payments securely, without sharing wallet addresses.
How does Paynest work?
You create a payroll schedule by setting the amount, duration, and recipients. Paynest then automates the payouts or salary streams directly to each user’s Paynest username (linked to their wallet). Once a schedule is live, payments run automatically — no manual transfers, no errors, no delays.
How do you charge for Paynest?
We charge a one-time fee per payroll schedule when it’s created. After that, all automated payouts and salary streams under that schedule run fee-free.
What exactly is a “schedule”?
A schedule is a continuous payroll plan — it defines who gets paid, how much, and how often. You can include one or multiple recipients in a single schedule. It’s charged only once when you set it up, or when you increase the total amount later.
What is a Stream in Paynest?
A Stream means salaries are sent gradually in real time, instead of all at once. Recipients see their earnings grow every second and can withdraw anytime during the payment duration.
What happens if I edit a schedule?
• Lowering the total or swapping recipients: ✅ free • Increasing the total: charged only on the additional amount • Changing duration or period (e.g., monthly → weekly): treated as a new schedule
When is a new schedule required?
Anytime you start a new team, new batch of payment, or change the payout structure significantly. That new setup counts as a new schedule and incurs a one-time setup fee.
Do you take fees on every payday or stream?
No. Fees are applied only once at setup — your scheduled payouts and continuous streams run with no ongoing deductions.
How do team members receive salaries?
Each team member creates a username (e.g. @rex) that connects to their wallet. Businesses send stablecoin salaries directly to usernames, and recipients get automatic receipts and salary statements.
Which stablecoins and networks do you support?
We currently support USDC on Base network. Support for additional chains and stablecoins is in progress.
Why use Paynest instead of manual wallet transfers?
• Avoid human error from wrong wallet addresses • Automate repetitive payroll tasks • Ensure every team member gets paid on time • Maintain records with downloadable receipts and salary statements
Is Paynest safe?
Yes — an external audit is underway. We’ll name the firm and publish the report when it’s complete. Paynest keeps company funds safe and secured using trusted onchain infrastructure like Aragon and Safe, until each scheduled payout is executed to recipients’ provided wallet addresses.
